Just worries me how you afford vet bills for all your animals :-\
Just worries me how you afford vet bills for all your animals :-\
Me too, how do you afford food, bedding, veggies and so on for your pigs? Do your parents pay for it?
Im 18, have myself an income and spend a huge amount on my piggies a week, about £10 a week goes into the veg, bedding is usually £9 every 3-4 weeks, Food is usually £7 every 2weeks...and then if i have to go to the vets a consult is £10.88 and whatever treatment is needed on top of that.
And i only have 9 pigs (and 2 tortoises but they dont eat much and they share piggie veg and weeds) :)

Why don't you get a job, and then change your job hours around college hours.
Thats what i'm hoping to do unless I find an apprenticeship

So what if Choc Choc has problems with this birth and needs emegerncy surgery at out-of-hours vets which could cost upti £100 or more...what would you do?
No matter how much money i have i always try to keep a bit aside and save it incase i need a trip to the vets..I tell myself im not allowed to spend it :)
Is it just small animal care that you will be doing? or general animal care?
Ive just finished my first year in animal management i have another to do before hopefully going to uni.

I am just reminding people! :) Some members might not like talking about their personal/financial circumstances on a public forum - this is up to the individual member. If people are concerned about the welfare of any guinea pigs, please do not hesitate to contact me or one of the mods or contact the person in question over pm. As long as things are kept civil, then there will be no problems :)

Pet Sitter.
Sorry to squish your bubble but they only had 1 litter of rabbits whilst i was there...and that's in 2 years. I have a lot of issues about the ways they keep their animals, which i made very clear to the head lecturers. But i hope you enjoy it there :)
