I finally feel up to posting about my beloved Tetley :'(. As you all know this is the one section of GPF that none of us want to have to post in, however, it is good to have somewhere we can pay tribute to these gorgeous little furballs.

Tetley was just short of his third birthday when he was diagnosed with a bladder stone. He had surgery to remove the stone and initially seemed to make a good recovery. However, crystals started to form within a matter of weeks and managed to block all his tubes so he was unable to urinate. We had tried different med combinations for 6 weeks to try to sort the little guy out, but nothing could stop the crystals forming. Unfortunately, the vet did not think Tetley was up to more surgery and recommended that we had him PTS.

As is usually the case, Tetley picked his moment to be ill! I was away in Dorset and my parents were looking after him and Curly. My dad sat up with Tetley in the early hours, before taking him to the vet as soon as they opened. Dad rang to tell me things were looking bad and we talked through all the options - I feel really guilty for not being around for my little guy :'(.

Dad brought Tetley home and buried him in a beautiful pot, planted up with an evergreen shrub, which is now up by my piggy pavilion so that Tetley can watch over all his other friends as they go about their daily lives. Sleep well little one, run free at rainbow bridge, we all miss you terribly. 0:)

He would forgive you for not being there in his last hours, you know that. I'm sure he felt very comfortable with your parents.

He was beautiful, I'm sure he's at the bridge popcorning everywhere. So sorry for your loss. RIP Tetly :smitten: :'(

Thanks guys and I was so sorry to hear about Blaze Marty, I've posted on your thread. We seem to be losing so many little piggies at the moment and unfortunately not to old age.

Lets hope all our little guys are popcorning together with Uncle Peter 0:)

RIP Tetley, you were a much loved piggy and your mum tried to help you in every way she could.

Sandra, please don't be too down on yourself - you gave Tetley a loving home full of cuddles and happiness. He's up there now munching on green grass free from pain, you will see him again one day. xx
