Work Soon!!!

I have work at 2pm today. Am not looking forward to it. I feel as though my job has been completely taken over by the new people that have started working there. I have been there 3 years this month and they have been there for about 3 weeks and are already bossing me about making out they are in charge of me. I hate working there so much now. Am currently trying to find another job!!

Are you looking forward to it? I am not working full-time at the minute and now that I am not really at college anymore apart from one day a week for 2 and half hours I really need to be working full-time.

Not looking forward to it AT ALL!! I dont get on with the girl I job share with. I only do 18 hours a week but I will also be doing the rodentology course at home too. I so want to get into working with animals rather than kids!
What job do you do?

I work in a chemist. I mainly work in the shop but sometimes work in dispensary. Now that the new people have started i'm thrown back into the shop. I really would love to do a job with animals. Couldn't be a vet as you have to be super brainy to do that and 7 years at uni?!?!?! I have no idea what I eventually would like to end up doing!!

I know, 7 years is a long time, my cousin just qualified. I don't have that kind of time to train especially with 2 kids! Thats why I am doing that course at home. Not sure where it will take me though.
Is the chemist far from you then?

Its a 1 minute drive from my mum's house and about a 10 minute drive from my boyfriend's house (where I am at the moment!!!) I just really hate it. Only working there till 6 but 4 hours is still a long time!!!!! I hope when I get back from work that there will be loads more members on this forum!!

I'm so annoyed. My mum just rang me to tell me my boss has asked could I would all of today as someone has phoned in sick. I really could do without working there as when I worked there Monday I really did feel like crying it was that bad. I have just said that I will work the morning which is 9 - 1 but he only rang 5 minutes ago so noway i'm going to get in there for 9. So it looks as though I will be working this morning so that will be the reason that i'm not online.

All be thinking of me miserable at work!!

My mum rang me last night to tell me my boss had left a voicemail on the answer phone at my mum's house asking if I could work 9 - 1 this morning. It annoys me how he keeps doing this all the time at the moment. My mum said will phone and ask if he still needs me this morning as I never got back to him yesterday so if I am not on between 9 - 1 you know where I am!! :(

I did take my CV to Aldi. Hopefully I can get the job there. Would be great if I could because they pay really well and its not that far away.

Will let you know if I get that when I find out!!

Thanks, all I would be is a sales assistant which I am at the moment but Aldi pay really well. I know its not the most ideal job but still I find something else at least it will be bringing in a decent wage!!!!

Don't have to work today :) My boss has found someone else to cover!!

Well, one main reason that I called this forum "The Guinea Pig Forum" is that when people type in "guinea pigs" or "guinea pig forum" this site should hopefully come up as one of the top choices (when it finally gets onto the search engines!!!) I really hope it does because I think thats one of the main reasons why pimms does so well because its a nice forum but I don't see how else it has got so many members!!

I have a pic of my piggies on my phone, so whenever im bored out being a gas man I can just look forward to going home... on friday I was working in a womans house and she helps out at a local rescue and was telling me all about it and we were sharing info, she only has rabbits atm but was telling her of the joys of being a guinea pig owner... so my jobs not bad all the time

I need a job...!!!!!! I still haven't heard back from Aldi -how annoying!!! I need to find something soon! I don't want to just end up as cleaning girl in the chemist which I know I will do if I don't find something soon!!!

Yep and I just turned on my phone and my boss at the chemist has left a voicemail asking if I can work this afternoon. Feel as though I should do as I didn't work Monday because thats when I felt really ill and thought I was going to pass out. I am nearly 19 and I get paid under £5 an hour which is rubbish. It hardly seems worth it. I really need the money though but it upsets me so much when I work at the chemist now. He is so overstaffed - I would go in this afternoon into a tiny chemist and there will be at least 3 people working there and the delivery driver!

Nope, I will make out I never turned on my **** and got the message lol. I am working tomorrow morning 9 - 1. This afternoon I am going the Job Centre to try and get signed onto Jobseekers for now cos I only work 8 hours a week. On the Job Centres website it says you can get £44.50 a week if you do less than 16 hours which I do. Yay. I hate it when I see people who come in the chemist and they have been on it for years. I don't want to be seen as sponging off the state but I have paid NI e.t.c. I just need some money!!!

I just rang up the number the Job Centre got me and they said it said on the comp I wasn't eligable for it but she said she has put down that I am and they will ring me up on Monday for my bank details.
She also said would I like it to start from today the Jobseekers and I said that I finished my last exam on 10th Jan and so really from then I have only been working 8 hours a week. She then said I should have rang up as soon as I finished college but I said I didn't know I could claim for it as I am working but only a small number of hours so hopefully I will get some back pay too!!! :)

I am just so desperate for money at the moment :(

At least if you can sort out the Jobseekers allowance that will help too :) and they had better backdate it to the 10th January otherwise I'm sending round my heaviest piggy mob to sort 'em out ;D

I have work at 2 till 6. I am not looking forward to it as my boss is the Pharmacist today. I cried when I was there out the back of the shop on Monday when I last worked. I am doing today as a favour to him as I need the money.
I signed onto Jobseekers as I can do the number of hours and claim for it but next week with it being half term some of the women are off cos if their kids so he wants me basically to commit benefit fraud and work a lot of hours. He can get lost. I am only doing the hours which I am working.

Sorry Wheekster I hadn't read this lol. haha please sort them out if they don't. I need the extra money. Aldi still haven't got back to me. Its really bad how they havent. I just need to get out of the job I am in at the moment!

I have got work 9 - 1 today and I really am not looking forward to it. I am working with 1 of the newer ladies that bosses me around so much making out she is the one who has been there for three years - not me!!!

Yesterday I was so annoyed with my boss. I was checking dates in the shop cos none of the new ladies have bothered to do it and there was about 2 people in the shop and the new lady was serving them. My boss called me over and asked me to stand with Sylvia between 3 and 4 because it was going to get busy (yeah right!!) Two mins later I didn't know Sylvia was and I turned around and she was helping the lady in the dispensary put an order away when I had just been told to stand WITH her. My boss doesn't say anything to her at all. Later on I went to check the dates again and he asked me to stand back at the till. Thats all he does all the friken time - even when nobody is in the shop. I think he treats me like this because I am the youngest but still I am not a child who has only recentely started there! I been there THREE years!!! Grrr... I bet any money that when I go in this morning I will be asked to do the hoovering. All thinki of me standing at a till with no-one there :(
