this for all the owners with outside hutches or ones in garages or sheds.
* I put an old sock on the water bottle to stop it freezing up.
* temperature gauge that is inthe garage but i can read the temperature on my bedside clock in my room
* i bought a sleeping bag in good condition from the chairty shop to put over the hutch at night time.
* I use lino underneath my run in the garage ( paper and vetbeds on top ).
* I out hay in toilet rolls when they are finished for piggies to play with.
* i had a fleece jacket thing and the zip broke instaed of throwing it away cut it up and use it as little blankets for piggies.
cant wait to see everyones elses tips.

Here is one from me.
Many people think they need something hard to find like Swarfega (sp?) for the piggies Grease Glands however, you only need something as simple as baby wipes or a toothbrush with soap. ;)

That one depends on how mucky they are Livie! The state some of the rescue boars come in in means I need several goes with the swarfega and at times even that isn't enough!

Grease gland's are something boars have. This page from my website should be helpful - it also includes pigtures of the process.

I grow parsley outside the pigs shed for them fresh and ready in the summer months, I'm also going to grow lavender near the sheds as its suppose to keep flys away, flying devils in hot weather my fly zappers work over time in the 2 sheds, they are my pet hate and I leave cobwebs to aid getting rid of the horrid things plus my fly zappers give me great pleasure when they ping ! and I get the urge to sing "another one bites the dust" wicked lady aint I ? :P

Loo rolls or any tubes, with food in the middle plugged by hay either end makes a great toy for piggies
lol my boys love loo rolls and i cut them down the middle and put hay in them
