Sorry if i am being a bit dim but what are the 'thanks' on threads and am i supposed to be clicking on them? :red

The thanks are there to click on somebody else's post, either because they've given you useful information, made a very kind remark or gave you a compliment. You can also signal agreement with somebody's statement by thanking that post.

Other people may thank you in turn.

I find it a lovely feature of this forum - you can show people that you have read their posts and appreciated them without having to answer every single of them!

No, don't ever feel like that - asking is how we find out things, and I'm sure we've all had to enquire about something we don't understand.
