Buttons more than Tatty, but both have started to dribble. They are not old - Tatty's almost 4 and Buttons is 3.

Any ideas? The usual cat forum I go on is closed for updates. No other signs of illness or infections and don't fancy taking them to the vets if it's something normal :)

Help/Ideas appreciated :)

I agree the most obvious thing is going to be their teeth, they are young to be having dental problems but it's not unknown at this age. Two of my rescue cats sufferred from gingivitis at around this age. One poor little soul ended up having most of his teeth removed.

If it is a mouth problem, then their breath is likely to be really quite pongy...can you get close enough to have a sniff....gross I know ::)
I think a visit to the vets is probably in order here :-\
Hope all goes well.

We feed a stray on our allotment, and she's really loving and sweet, but whenever she purrs she dribbles too. We never really thought it could be a health problem :/

Some times they dribble due to stress, we have them coming into the vets and with being in the car and in a basket plus seeing the vet this can set them off.

Thanks all, have managed to have a look, to me teeth are fine and there's no pain in the jaw. Mouth not pongy, except for their food stench! :) Hehe..

Gonna just ask vets when I take Tonni tommorrow :)

After what she did with Tonni we never uttered a word! Tatty stopped dribbling, but making an appointment for Buttons as he seems to be the worst

I just hate the whiff of second hand dog food/cat food etc

Hehe, the smell of their food makes me feel sick! But they seem to trust me more when checking them over :)

Willow cat dribbles but that's out of love ;D He only does it when he's happy and having his tummy tickled :)

My cat does that still. Think they just get so excited.
