What does it mean if someone wants to be friends with you on the Forum?

i've no idea, but rejected a request the other day from someone on here as we've never interacted, thought it was a little strange! :{

It means that person likes you and your guinea pigs. You are always free to accept or reject a friendship request. It doesn't give another person more access.

Once you are up to 50 posts, you will be allowed to use private messaging and send your own friendship requests to other members that you would like to know better because you share common special interests.

I have found several good friends that way.
