Update On Tiger

She has developed a lump or two on her back, but due to the state of her mouth it is not worth taking her to the vet about them because there's nothing they can do.

Her tumour has spread pretty rapidly - underneath her mouth, across the side of her face, all inside her mouth..

She's still eating well, but doesn't seem to be holding weight - she eats, but feels light. I don't understand why.

Today she was bleeding from the mouth, I cleaned the blood from her paw and mouth, it wasn't too much.. But the tumour there now feels more.. Solid.

My parents said this morning that I should take her to the vet to see what he says, but - they think it's time to have her put to sleep whilst she's still happy, because it's only going to get much.. Much worse.

I agree with them, but.. Mrrrr.

I'll make an appointment on monday - hopefully for thursday, so that my girlfriend can go with me.

Poor little Tiger. At least her mummy understands her and can make the right decision for her. :'(

It's a horrible decision to make, and one which we had to make recently for our poor old Amy-cat. :'(

Amy had always been a very obstinate cat with a strong will to live and we were determined not to rush her off before she was ready - but we knew that when she had had enough, we must be ready to take her in quickly. We were lucky that, because OH is close to retirement, he can more-or-less come and go as he pleases at work, so we could watch her and be ready to take her in when the time came.

She got an injection, and another round of anti-biotics, and.. So long as it doesn't get insanely worse, we'll go back to the vet in a month.

Unfortunately I don't think that's possible - we can only prolong the inevitable.

any extra trime is a wonderful blessing especially as she is in no pain, you give her as much chicken and milk as she wants and amaze the vet next month with this round fat Tiger, my darling max is 14 and gets what ever he wants and every day extra we get with him is a true blessing after losing his brother last year max is my baby and I'd do anything for him ,
