Hi :)
I have a 7 x 2'2" x 2'2" hutch that I am selling. It is a fairly standard design with sleeping compartment and main area with welded mesh door.
It was made by a joiner so it is very solid and HEAVY! I have given the outside a fresh coat of animal friendly wood preservative.
I am looking for about £60 for it.
I am near Canterbury.
I could possibly deliver for a small petrol cost depending on where you are!
It will be fully scrubbed and disinfected before going to its new home!
Its also on ebay at the moment but let me know if you are interested.

Have you tried the rescues? We could start a Paypal donation thing on here perhaps and donate it to GBH or someone? It would be good to contact them first though to see if they want it etc :)

That would be a possibility - how would it work?

If you set up a Paypal account, everyone posts how much they have donated and when we have reached the target price the hutch is donated???
We need to set a time limit really because if onlt £5.00 is donated you can't really hold onto it forever and wait for funds, so if you give a month to reach target and then either donate the hutch anyway or donate the funds to a chosen rescue (one that will acknowledge receipt, just to keep it all above board :) ).
If you just donate the funds then obviously you can still sell the hutch privately. I'd suggest donating funds if you don't get much of a response, either that or extend the time a bit- but make another limit.
Does that sound workable and would anyone donate? Just 10 lots of £5 will buy this hutch for a rescue...

That sounds like a good plan! Will haave to find a rescue that wants it though - and preferably that can piack up!! If anyone on here runs a rescue and is interested, then please let me know.

Well, GBH Rescue is in Beckenham, is that near you?

A bit more than an hour away!! Problem is it needs a van to transport and although hubby might be persuaded to drop it locally, I don't think he'll want to go that far. RSPCA west medway is a bit closer, not sure if there are any others?

Do you mind if I contact Jackie to see if she can transport it?
Loopylou

Not at all! In fact I think I will give it away anyway as a donation - its taking up too much space in my shed :D. Please let her know though that it will need a van to transport and two beefy men - or ladies - to carry it!! Let me know if she's interested. :)
Dont you have a small local rescue that are totally self funded? I think they would really appreciate it O0

Jacky is totally self funded and takes in lots of needy guineas and fixes them up before finding homes :) Not too local, but very deserving and lots of residents that can't be rehomed :)

I would be really happy if Jacky did want it - been to there a few times - I've adopted a rabbit and three piggies from her! Just wondering if it would fit in her garden!!

Any other rescues that would like to have it??
