Hello all, :)

I have 2 boars and was wondering if I could put 2 houses in their cage. They were living quite happily together for several weeks but for some strange reason they have started bickering.

I have provided them with 2 water bottles and 2 feeding dishes, and was umming and arring over wether or not to add a second house.

Any suggestions please.

Thank you ???/

Hello and welcome. :)p

2 houses is a good idea. I have 3 girls and none of them will share a house or bed, so they have 1 each. I would do it soon (an upside down cardboard box will do) to help avoid arguments. :)

You might find this thread useful and there is lots of other info in the reference section

If there is room for 2 houses then I dont see why you couldnt give it a go and see if it helps.

I have 5 girls and they have the odd bicker but get on most of the time - none like to snuggle up with any other though - they seem to all like their own space.

Might be worth trying, like flips said, a cardboard box house to see if that sorts the problem before buying one.....

Good luck

hi. i got 3 boars, 2 are 5/6 months and 1 is around 4 months. The older 2 use to get on but right now they are trying to work out who is the boss, so theres alot of rumblestrutting, purring and mounting going on. feeling sorry of the younger guy as they arent leaving him alone for 2 seconds. iv been told from other members on here they are going through their teenage moody months. ive had to put 3 houses in their cage even though 1 of the older 2 lets the younger one sleep in the same house as him (not sure how long that will last haha) also i dont shut them up in their cage iv made a play area for them outside their house so they can run around whenever they please, also got lots of hidey holes comfy blankets in the play area. hope that helps.

*** cardboard box worked with mine with fleece bedding, also I made them cosy pouch(look at my pic on the side they love that)

I have four boars (2 & 2) and they all get on very well with their cage mates but they don't like sleeping together in a house. So I give them all their own house to sleep in, it also means they can have a break from the other if needed :)

Heyooo I have two boars and although usually they sleep together fine, sometimes Artie gets kicked out so i supply Artie with a wooden log cabin and a shoe box to cozy up in :)
