Just had a rare photo opportunity as George is not usually still for long! Here he is in his "padded cell" having a doze!

and here's his pal Marble, wondering what the fuss is about..

Thanks, Marble is the one that was squashed into a small guineapig cage in the pet shop - we only popped in for some piggie food but couldn't leave him there, he was so unhappy, had an upset tum and a bit of crust round his eye. :'( He's come on in leaps and bounds (literally!) and eats soooo much! I've never seen one with his markings before - Apparently he's a Magpie rabbit.. looks like a little convict with those stripes!

Aww poor marble... Glad he's with you now, he's beautiful! I don't think i would have been able to resist him either ^_^

George looks very relaxed, so cute =)

It was awful, everyone was crowded round the pens with the cute little lops and dwarf bunnies, and the big magpies were left in a corner.. and Marble was in the smallest cage of all, I was almost in tears so the OH ran round grabbing stuff (possibly fearing a public display of emotion!) and I grabbed an assistant and told her we were taking him!!

Don't be deceived - George is normally flying up and down our lounge like a small rocket and is into everything! Thats why I took his pic - its so rare to see him like this! I think he tired himself out flinging his plastic guineapig toy round today!

I thought for a minute you said throwing the guinea pig around then! I was like wahhh? lol. Awh bless him, i haven't had a rabbit since i was about 7.. They sound like such little characters

ha ha!!! They are lovely characters, we've had so much fun with them since we got them! Marble likes to jump onto the windowsill and climbed into the wastebasket the other day!! Both of them are lovely little chaps though, they like their stroeks and never bite. :)

George (the sleepy one) is very friendly and will let you stroke him for hours! Marble likes being stroked too but is a bit nervous still .. neither of them like being picked up much but both are lovely little fellas.

... silly me! I only just realised there is 2 different bunnies 98)
Stanley my male is only young still and was free to good home... i dont think his previous owners cuddled him much so he always flipps it at me lol

Poor Stanley. How long have you had him? Maybe he will get better in time.. I've heard that bunnies can go through a "troublesome teenager" phase when they are young so he might calm down as he grows up.. George started showing an amourous interest in our piggie Tiger so we had to have him neutered... unfortunately since we got Marble it seems to have made George a bit agressive towards Tiger who he used to share a hutch with... I think it is because there is another male rabbit around but it could be a "phase" ! ::)

Thats a great name for a bunny by the way!

Thanks.. i have had him for a few months and the 'troublesome teenager' thing sounds about right lol he gets really moody somtimes and rips all the paper up... so peter rabbit (his gf) sits in the corner :( lol

He was neautered before we got him wich was good :)
he had a bath yesterday and he was so afraid he actually cuddled me :)

Aw!

George loves ripping tissues!! We often give him a piece of kitchen roll then sit back and laugh as he shreds it and generally tried to "kill" it! I think its just a bunny thing!
He has recently torn a big hole in the little house in the pic that he is asleep in (we call it his padded cell!) and has pulled all the padding out of it... very naughty.
Has Stanley got any toys? Ours love Airflo plastic balls which they can pick up and fling about - well George's is a plastic guineapig that he bites and throws in the air, which is a bit worrying!

;D i did try the empty toilet roll stuffed with hay but he only played with it once or twice... but other than that no... i want to go to the shops and get him rattling noisy things... that might amuse him ;D i also want to get him a harness and lead so he doesnt run away in the lounge room ::) lol

Do you have any suggestions for toys? He has his frozed water bottle when it gets hot and even after it has defrosted he lays all over it ::)... poor peter gets left out :(

I wouldn't get a harness - I've heard that some buns have panicked and got tangled and broken their necks.. :'(

Ours really love the airflo balls and the guineapig toy - they are just small plastic toys with bells inside and vents so that the bun can pick it up in his teeth and fling it about! They have had more fun with these than anything! Oh, and the tissues!! :D
