I have this cage free to a good home:
http://www.pet-shop.net/html/ratcage.html

Its used but in good condition...someone was keeping a poor little piggy in it originally :( . Its probably more suitable for syrian hamsters than dwarfs due to the spacing of the bars.

Would prefer it went to a rescue or someone who will home a rescue hamster/rat in it or an exisiting pet, rather than a pet shop one :)

Collect from Nottingham NG3....PM me if interested.

edited to add: it isnt a big cage so I dont personally feel it is big enough for more than one rat...(but then of course theres the issue of not keeping them on their own! :-\ I've confused myself now! ;D)

Hey,
No its only suitable as a very temporary cage for 1 rat...say if you were introducing a new one into the group/split up for hospital treatment etc. :)

I dont see the difference between a rescue or shop bought guinea pig when it comes to what it lives in,so long as its suitable for whatever lives in it thats all that matters, and that whatever it is ,is happy in it

I agree, I think the cage is great and my bf's hamsters would love it, but i guess they don't derserve it as they are shop bought!

I think the OP means not for a pet shop animal bought as a result of getting the free cage... hence there being one less little rescue hammy without a nice new home....and more money put into a business rather than a rescue (or do i read too much into things? lol)

(not that the pet shop hammies have it much easier... you never know where they're going to end up ???)

Yes that is exactly what i meant- i dont agree with buying animals from pet shops and didnt want someone to go out and buy one after getting the cage....I did say a rescue one or an exisiting pet ;)

The cage has found a home now anyway :)

Hi Niki
Yes it is, poor Albie :(
I'm just rid of some stuff at the mo and it seemed a shame to throw it as its in good condition- its new resident will be a hamster.
Hope you are ok
