I can't find the befriend symbol!

I'm trying to befriend someone and I can't find the symbol on their profile page. Can someone help please.

If you click their name on a post they've made it should come up with the option 'Add .... to your contacts.'

Maybe you can turn the option for friend requests off?

I can only make her a contact not a friend.

Have you looked in User CP, Contacts & Friends whether you have got a friends option there? If not, please contact the mods so they can put things right.

it didnt get taken off did it when things were removed from the forum to save money and make it run faster???

Can you add a friend if you go into the edit friends option? It should bring up all your friends and then at the bottom you should be able to add a new friend. Can someone have a go and let me know if this works.

I've just added you both, you show as contacts but I can't tick the friend button8...

Have spoken with Ellie and the friend option has been suspended as part of the changes needed to enable the forum to run faster and more efficiently, whilst remaining within our budget.

Unneccesary features were removed from the forum very quickly as we were in grave danger of incurring large penalties for exceeding our bandwidth. I can only apologise for the fact that they were removed suddenly and without notification, but we really had no other option.
