Hi, I'm new to this website. I always wanted to join a guinea pig community and I finally found one.
:)
But I have a problem;
Winky doesn't get along with Autumn.
Autumn is only 4 months.
Winky is 3 years old.
I got Winky as an adult from some girl.
And Winky actually had babies before I owned her.
And after months of having her,
I started to wonder if she got lonely.
So I bought Autumn.
Winky HATES Autumn.
I've tried everything to get them to get along;
Baths,
Having the eat food together,
Having my lil dog on the bed to even them out
(even though she was there just wagging her tail)
And even just chilling with them both on the bed.
Any advice?
Winky ends up biting Autumn ALOT,
and shes actually got me a few times and drew blood.
I had a Guinea pig called Angel (rip) who was about 5 and she was on her own so i got 2 new girl guineas (only 6/7 weeks old at the time) and she didnt like them :/
i dont know what it is. maybe angel got used to being on her own, i really dont know why they dont like each other :/

yeah, that's what I was figured
*siiiigh*
-.-
I wish I could read her mind but from what I can read off her
is that she thinks Autumn is trying to compete
:(
And maybe she is jealous
Yeah thats what we thought with angel. like she didnt want the 2 new guineas to dominate over her.
I wish guineas wouldnt fight :/

aww maybe she could be jealous. I know my old flatmate got a second rabbit after about 2-3 years and the original rabbit displayed so many signs of jealousy it was untrue!
Hi and welcome to the forum.
Some older girls won't sadly accept company (especially when they have been on their own for some time and are dominant). I would separate the girls and find Autumn a new friend. Winky will be happier with having company next door, though, so your attempt to make her happy was not in vain!
Whereabouts are you? If you are in Britain, you can try to "piggy date " Autumn at a rescue that lets you bring her for her to choose her new best friend.

Um, sadly I live in America. I really don't wish to give Autumn away cus she is such a sweetheart. I have them in separate cages but they Are right next to each other.

Hi xx
I've got a guinea Shy (kind of a rescue) who doesn't really like any of the other 5 girls.
When the food is out she'll go and eat with them, even steals food from their mouths but wont snuggle up with them, I think this could be from being kept with a rabbit, I don't think she really likes her own kind :{.
My girls seem to snuggle up in groups Willow & Daisy together Peppa & Lottie together and shy roams around on her own and little betty a local rescue piggy just snuggles with whoever will let her.
