How to add friends on the forum?

Hi, I've been trying to work this out for a while but can't seem to figure it out! How do I add friends to my profile? and are 'friends' different to 'contacts' on my profile page? Thanks! xx:{

If you go on to User CP, then click on to Networking, I think that will take you there. xx

Thanks Nutmeg:) - but I think I am having a not-so-clever moment, and still can't figure it out... Clicking networking takes me to a contacts page - then what do I do? Is there a quick way to click on people's names and add them as friends? (maybe its just not that simple!?)

Just sent you a friend request to try it out. Click on the networking bit. Underneath it says contacts and friends. When you get on to that page there should be a box that you can type in the name of the person you want to be friends with. If you type their name then click add friend, that should send them a request. (Hopefully lol) x

I think the friend option was removed as part of the money-saving changes to the forum.
Although the 'add friend' button is still there, it only adds contacts now.

Hmmmm? Did you get my request lola? If not, it could either be as Flips says, or possibly you need to make 50 posts same as for private messages?? Someone try and send me a friend request. It didn't stop me when I pressed the button to make friends with lolapiggie. xx

Ah yes! It must have been removed :( I just have 'contacts' under my networking tab. I thought I was going mad for a second there! Thats a shame! I don't want a 'friendless' profile!! Nevermind...:))

I just tried adding you Nutmeg. It says 'friendship requested', although when I tried adding Lolapiggy it just added her as a contact. :{

No, it's still there. Flips just requested me as a friend and I just accepted. Maybe you need the 50 posts?? Maybe a mod can help? xx

User CP > (menu on left) Networking> contacts and friends

There's a box at the bottom of that page to add a contact or a friend.
