Dr was buried today in my parents' garden in Cornwall.

My father made him a grown-up coffin out of pine. My mother (Caroline on this forum) made a him a turquoise velvet pillow with DOCTOR embroidered on it and a matching velvet cover. Scarby and Riffy put some of their fur in with Dr; my mother put in a some of her hair and I gave Dr a strand of mine to hold between his paws. We also gave him a strawberry, some daisies and coriander and rosemary, and a card I wrote to him telling him how special he still is and how much he is loved.

On top of his grave are lilies, roses, tulips and daffodils, and also a lovely slate tile.

Darling Doctor, sleep well x

We left Cornwall today in the sunshine and the rain. There was a huge bright rainbow over where Dr lies. He was saying hello to us x
