What's happened to this forum?

I can't befriend some of the other members, one of them is a new member, but i'm not, so why can't I pm her? Every time I log in, something else has been removed? Ability to add photo's in user cp, email doesn't work through my computer, so I'm basically cut off from everyone new I talk to? Why have you made these changes????/

It's been disabled to free up space and allow the forum to run quicker.

Members under 50 posts cannot send private messages. This is for security as people were getting spam and advertising messages via PM. This has been the way now for over a year now, so it's not something that's happened overnight.

You can use PhotoBucket to upload pictures, I know of very few forums who actually allow members to use their hosting to upload pictures - this storage space cost the forum owner a fortune .

This forum costs a fortune to run and many of the (actually unnecessary) features were using up bandwidth and hosting space that was costing literally thousands a year. Several kind people have donated to help but unfortunately until these features went the donations barely scratched the surface. Most of our members have supported this as the guinea pig forum remains free to use and isn't covered in annoying, inappropriate advertisements as you will see elsewhere.

I'm thankful for that. One of the reasons I like this forum so much is because there are no annoying advertisements :)
