Maxi my baby guinea

My poor maxi didn't make it, unfortunately the baytril didn't work and the uri won after 4 weeks of fighting :(, I feel so gutted and keep feeling that I didn't do enough, but nothing more could be done! Is there anything I can do to prevent this happening again in the future as I have 2 other piggies and I really don't want to go through the heart ache again it's q horrible feeling :( any help is appreciated.
