cat attack!

12 days ago one of my male piggies was attacked by a cat.
he was badly bitten round his neck but
after a 10 day course of antibiotics and a lot of hand feeding
he is almost back to normal. the only thing is he
is still holding his head on one side and moves
quite stiffly! does anyone know how long
it would take for a piggy to recover from such an
injury?

p.s I have moved all my piggies into the garage and padlocked their cages!!

Sorry I don't know how long it would take, but just wanted to say I hope he feels better soon

it could be that his deeper wounds are still healing and its making him sore still, or that there is still a residual infection deeper down. I would suggest a trip to the vet to get him checked over, cats mouths are one of the most bacteria laiden mouths, their claws carry lots of germs too.

yes its possible he has a deeper routed infection lower into the neck.

I would also be worth asking for a pain killer anti inflammatory.

Its also possible that some permanent damage has been done to him and only time will tell if it gets any better.

I would just do a vet trip though and ask for the above and its possible he may need more antibiotics xxx
