I've noticed I have a thank you beneath my avatar.

I've tried to find an explanation for this in the FAQs.

Can anyone shed any light?

The top one Thanks: is how many times you've thanked a person for a post. The bottom one Thanked 1 time in 1 post is how many times someone else has thanked you. You should have two now as I've just thanked you for asking the question to show you.
