It should work for you now since you have 52 posts. I'll try to pm you to see if it works :)

Hmm, it didn't work. Try going to user cp, and edit options. You may have the pm system turned off for you

It is after 50 posts as it happened to me. It takes a bit of time to enable though.

The software refreshes a few times a day, the PM switching on at 50 posts thing isn't immediate.
