Hi - hoping for some Forum buddy action please!!!:)
Have got some problems with my 2 youngs boars at the moment - they have had to be separated. I have posted some threads in behaviour section but getting no replies. I am quite a formal speaking person so perhaps I am not good at forum speak???:red

Really want some hints for helping my boars to bond so hope you can help:)
Going to vets today for advice but think this forum will be better for the day-to-day practical tips. Thanks

Hi!

Sorry you don't seem to have had any replies. Sometimes if lots of threads are started older posts can get pushed down the new posts feed so I'm sure thats just what has happened.

Unfortunately I'm not experienced at bonding boars but loads of people on here are so hopefull they'll be about to help you soon! :)

It depends very much on when you post - this is a busy forum and posts can be pushed down quite quickly at times.

Most users go on the "new post" function on the top bar; this gets renewed fairly frequently, so your posts can be pushed out and you need to bump them up in order to get the attention. It might help you to check whether your current thread is still listed. Most members tend to dip in on and off throughout the day or evening, so it is fairly easy to miss a post.

You may find you won't get replies as it is just a topic that has been covered so many times, those who have already replied to people with almost the same problem do find it a bit much to keep typing out the same thing.

The boar issue has come up a lot on the board - try using the search button to search for old threads and you will most likely find a lot of advice on older threads.

The bottom line of your issue is, blood is drawn, have to separate. You can try reintroducing after a bath in completely neutral territory then moving into a very well cleaned and rearrange cage, but this can be very difficult and not guaranteed to work.

This is not from my own experience, simply what I have read on the boar thread and by searching for older posts. Please do read through some of these as to what other members have done.
