i,ve had my 2 boy rats from 5 weeks of age, there now about 4-5 months old.
we then aqquired the neighbours male rat, around the same age as our 2 and they get only really well.
but since the new rat has come, he scratches a lot and around the outside of there cage, there is always a lot of fur, the other 2 scratch, but not as much.
ive checked for crawlies and bald patches, but nothing, do they normally scratch a lot ?

No they shouldnt scratch a lot. All rats do carry mites but they only flare up at times of illness/stress. I'd recommend you take all 3 to the vets for a check up :)
What bedding do you keep them on?

the botoom of the cage is lined with newspaper
and they have a litter tray, paper based
they sleep in furry tunels, cosy cups etc

Take them to the vets and also make suyre * scrub every inch of the cage, wash ALL hammocks/beds etc etc. Hopefully should clear whatever it is up :)
