Animals in Distress have several in at the moment. You could also try Woodside in Plymouth or Norman Gormans Guinea Pig Rescue in Saltash area.
Good luck and well done for thinking rescue. xx

Hope Rescue does an amazing amount of rescue work and rehomes many stray and unwanted dogs.
They are having a fund raising auction this week with several great items to bid on.
Little Brambles Guinea Pig Rescue, South Devon has...
This is poor Elvis who came to LB a few weeks ago. He had lived with a piggy friend for a couple of years but the buddy died so the previous owner decided it was a good idea to get him a rabbit friend. At first as a baby they were fine apparently but as the rabbit grew up he attacked Elvis...
Over the past year I've met and heard from a small number of people whose neutered boars have passed away and it struck me that very few of them seemed to be elderly ie over five years of age.
None of the boars died from illness related to the neutering and many of them had been neutered for...
A friend of mine Amelia has just opened up Bumbles Guinea Pig Hotel
near Kingsbridge.
She has a lovely clean set up and the piggies get to be very spoilt.
Amelia is an experienced piggy owner and they couldn't be in better hands.
Her phone number is on my homepage

:)
Many good points have already been made and I hope some of them help you in overcoming your concerns.
I try not to think of my home visits as "checking" but rather the beginning of a happy relationship where guinea pigs are the common ground. They are a great opportunity to meet like minded...
I am not suggesting for one moment the RSPCA take over the rescue which is already underway and I'm fully aware of how these situations are handled by them. They wouldn't intervene at this stage anyway.
However, should future legal action become necessary the more fact based/ witness evidence...
Sadly there is no cohesive approach by any agency to check on people who have received banning orders.
Very many animals suffer because when they are found to have breached the ban the case has to go back through the courts which can take ( as was in my experience) over two years to reach any...
Just to let you know that Suzy will be arranging a piggy train down to Devon very soon for some boars to come to LB.
Contact Suzy and see if she has anyone suitable to pair up with your boar and hopefully we can get something sorted out for you.
Sorry I've not been able to help you out...
He's a stunner. Hope he's settling ok.
I can definiteley recommend Justine at Woodlands Vets Ivybridge if you need a vet to neuter him. She's very experienced and keeps piggies herself so has a special interest in them.
Love his name btw xx
It's a really kind offer to foster but it is worth bearing in mind the logistics of it all.:)
I can't speak for other rescues but I wouldn't be comfortable with someone fostering for me that wasn't on my door step. There are simply too many issues preventing this from happening and it's not...
Sorry to hear about Pumpkin.
I'm sure she'll come round just fine with a little extra tlc.:)
I would advise that you phone the rescue to let them know what has happened, for their records.
Unfortunately, these sows should never have been rehomed prior to completing their pregnancy watch -...
It's really good that you are thinking ahead. Winter isn't far away now and making sure they are warm and snug is essential.
Little Brambles website has lots of tips on how to keep them warm this winter.

Louise @ LB :)
For those of you with rabbits or/and piggies outside in hutches please ensure the accommodation is safe and secure and sturdy.
I've definitely had an increase in the number of people reporting badger and fox attacks in their garden. Sadly many small furries have not survived.
Here is a pic...
She looks even tinier on the photos, bless her.
I'm really pleased that the early introductions went well.
Lovely to see you again and many many thanks for adopting Pippa, I know she will be well loved and well looked after. :)
I shall look forward to updates as she grows up and fills out!
