...her, but it distresses me no end!
She and her sister have dust extracted hay from HayBox, they live inside on a combination of fleece and fitch, but if you can suggest anything else that might be an irritant I would gladly explore that option!
She was on sulfatrim in January (prob late...
...cleaning them out often. I use a plastic glove to pick up poos at least once a day and change hay often so the only smell is the wee. I've used fitch bedding and fleece and the fitch is fantastic. (I asked permission of landlord and it was given, new landlord asked for a bit more deposit).

...house some of the time- and so can’t have anyone to spot clean everyday and wash the fleece.
So i’ve been looking at Paper bedding!
I tried fitch a few years ago but wasn’t so keen- it gave one of my piggies a uti.
I was looking at megazorb and was wondering if anyone had any experience...
...should be washed several times before use so it wicks away urine.
Other than that, Aubiose is a great option, and vetbed is pretty common too. Fitch is also good but I’ve heard it’s been having some batch issues recently. I believe you can also find Kaytee Clean and Cosy in the UK but that’s...
...on poo picking!
Does anyone have any good options for a *very* dust free bedding that would help my piggy who’s sensitive to it. I did try fitch a few years ago but one of my pigs sat in the same place and got a uti from it so i’m not keen to try again. I also did find it had a bit of dust...
I don't use it myself but the ones I have heard the other forum members mention that they use are Carefresh, Aubiose, Fitch, Megazorb. I can't remember anymore off the top of my head but I am sure some of the other members will be able to recommend some for you.😊
I found with both Fitch and the egg tray bedding I use now, poop picking by hand works best. I don't use the surgical gloves as I don't like single use products. I just wash my hands thoroughly afterwards.
Hi!
Many of our forum members have switched to fleece for their indoors piggies but we have also others on fitch bedding (hemp) as there is no one bedding that appeals to everybody.

I use newspaper as a base then have used all of the following as the absorbant bit
BioCatolet cat litter - works well but expensive
FITCH paper bedding - works well but pricey and sometimes hard to get
Shredded Egg Cartons - working well so far
Hi, is there anywhere online that supplies this bedding? I too am using Fitch and I’ve found the quality of it over the last year has declined and it most certainly has doubled in price!
Just getting to the last of my 20kg bale of Fitch, tried to order more on amazon and it’s out of stock? Even checked their own website and it’s out of stock too. Is it a seasonal product?
...unlike wood shavings. These beddings and any other paper based ones can be bought off of Amazon us and any pet stores. If you live in the uk fitch is a good option along with any other paper based beddings in the uk, fitch and any other paper based beddings can be bought off of amazon uk or...
As well as, Fitch or fleece or wood shavings as bedding then hay on top -topped up once or twice a day. You’ll notice they eat most of it quite quick when they are cleaned out so may need to restock a few hours later, but hay should be a continuos supply.
I'm currently trying out fitch bedding. One of my guinea pigs likes eating paper, boxes and even puppy pads. I always try to stop her nibbling and eating it. Now since I'm trying the fitch bedding, she started eating it! Is it safe? :help:
...would get wet and unsafe for their health.
They need a full cage clean 2-3 times a week and pick up/sweep up poops daily.
Paper based bedding like fitch lasts slightly longer than the specially made fleece cage liners before needing changed but the fleece cage liners can be easier to deal...
