    Yes it's that stuff @Chief Guinea Pig A Uhaul pad is a thick fabric that they wrap furniture in when you move. A lot of people use it and or sell products on eBay with them as the the absorbent layer.

    You need to have something absorbent under the fleece other wise the fleece will stay wet so not plastic. Cotton bath towels would work great. I used a uhaul furnitire pad. And yes I used hemming web that I ironed on. Works great!
