What to put under uhaul & fleece?

...your cage getting damaged, so if you have a coroplast base that is ideal. You don’t need to put anything between the coroplast base and your uhaul. I’d be wary of using canvas though as that might get damp and will be difficult to wipe clean. My correx gets a good scrub at cage change as it...

    Advice on Bath Mats please...

...probably be almost the whole cage with our 4 girls) I was wondering though, if you have ever put them under the fleece? So we would layer it uhaul on bottom, then noodle mat, then fleece on top. We have two girls that love to burrow and I could envision them just knocking everything over to...

Bottom of feet looked dry and 'cracked'

Cedar and a soft granule blend. However, I am switching to fleece today after all the posts and videos I have only seen fleece being used. I am confused on what to put under the fleece. A suggestion was furniture pads from Uhaul. I am going to the store today. Thank you.

    Mikknu's Pigg-nus!

...most difficult to wash things, dried in 2 hours on the lowest heat. The lap pad dried in 1. If we get in a pinch, I've got plenty of extra uhaul blankets(about 4) and lots of extra fleece. I'll make a "liner" out of those blankets and the fleece wrapped around them. When I've got a bit...

    Flustered About Fleece!

Hello :). I use both regular fleece and the fleece that has the uhaul pads in it. When I use the regular fleece I put newspaper on the bottom and then some towels in the middle with the fleece on top. You can get fleece by the yards at Joann’s fleece store online. I also got my fleece with the...

    Fleece bedding

I use reusable bed pads with fleece over it. I also have made liners with a layer if uhaul fabric between. Both work great! I like having it all sewn together because it's less to brush before washing.

    hello

I use waterproof mattress protector between two pieces of fleece for the boys cage liners. I’ve seen some where people have used towels. Zorb is also a good one - expensive but worth it. And uhaul. If you check YouTube there are several videos on how to make a cage liner

    Home made pee pad

I’m not sure, I just use small fleece pads with fleece on both sides and an absorbent layer in between like a towel or uhaul moving blanket. I put them in areas where they seem to pee (corners and where their food is) and then change them daily. The moisture stays inside and keeps them and...

    Fleece with uhaul.

I don’t use it myself but I’ve heard it’s very good! You could sew fleece on both sides but I think that’s more for convenience and aesthetics more than anything, I’m sure you could get away with just sewing fleece onto once side or even folding the fleece around the uhaul.

    Fleece liners

...under my fleece, but I have everything separate ie not sewn into a big liner. Others use puppy pads, newspaper and towels. In the US they use uhaul blankets and I think you can get them here too. I make pads for my cages and use wadding as the padding but this doesn’t hold the pee, it wicks...

    U-Haul alternative?

I’m not entirely sure myself what uhaul is. I also looked on YouTube and seemed to be the thing everyone was using and it looked like it was the cheapest and easiest option. Trouble is you can’t get it in the uk.

    Sewing technique 1x5 cage liner

...Small hand sewing machines simply can't handle very thick materials. Even my actual sewing machine struggled at the time with 2 layers of uhaul and 2 layers of fleece. It might have real issues with a towel or densely padded mattress protector. I'd for sure look into the height of the needle...

Switched to Fleece and having issues...

I'm positive it isn't popcorning. He's stressed and acting scared/nervous. I prewashed the fleece 3 times prior to use, and also put it through a rinse cycle to be sure there was no residue to bother him. Is there anything else I should be cautious of? I'm using uhaul pads underneath the fleece...
