Hi guys
Does anyone know how I can get some uhaul blankets shipped to the uk? I've read nothing but good things about it and would like to give it a try. I contacted uhaul directly and they said they don't ship outside of the US unfortunately :(
I'm sure I saw a post on here a while ago of...
that is a good idea, ive washed my uhaul liner at 60 degrees and it shrunk in length by 2 and a half inches, but it has still maintained its absorbency .x
...I am on Google looking up everything to get. I am in the process of switching from bedding to fleece. Today I am going to the fabric store and the Uhaul store for liner to go under the fleece. I will post a new foot picture after we try all the above in case others experience the same thing.
...bedding to soak up urine. I think I've basically used most of the common ones: wood shavings, paper bedding, fleece & old towels, fleece & uhaul blankets and now a fleece liner with an absorbent layer (bamboo fiber). You might try some sort of stone right under the water bottle spout. That...
Has anybody done this? ive seen a videos on youtube of people using wood pellets instead of absorbent layers and everyone keeps saying that it helps control the smell more than towels or uhaul. And some people say they change the pellets every 3 weeks. thoughts?
I wash the uhaul pad on ultra hot setting to get it to shrink and dry on hot before I use it the fleece I just use right away and wash after it is sewn...with 1 cup vinegar and unscented soap...
@Swissgreys I've got some more questions about prewashing. Did you prewash on 60 degrees celcius? The size of the uhaul I've bought is off. It's not 150x300 cm but 160x288 cm so I have to do some math for the fleece that I'm going to buy
@Janice C Thank you for the information! I looked up the site! Do you think that they ship to The Netherlands?
@JenniferG Good to know that you wash your fleece at 60 degrees celcius every time! I'm wondering if that's is possible with uhaul attached to the fleece.
The Uhaul I use is off-brand that I got through Amazon, that might be available in the UK. The stuff stinks like factory, though, you definitely need to prewash it!
I'm in the US; never certain the different supplies for the Uk but I think you can have something similar there in the UK. Uhaul is a moving truck rental place here. We just use the 85 by 63 inch pads here (conversion to your measurements-need to look that up) that can be used for packing or...
...that would prevent liquid to go through.
Test the fleece to make sure the liquid goes through to the absorbent layer (which would be the UHaul pads). The top of fleece should stay dry.
You may need to wash at least 3 times before using it in the cage.
Do not use any fabric softener or...
...PROMOTIONAL FLEECE
Fleece comes 59"x36" and simple to measure doubling over for any length cage. Very reasonable with cute patterns.

...layer I'd prefer to use something washable rather than puppy pads or newspapers
So it seems some of the most common absorbant layers are uhaul pads (but it doesn't look like we have them in the UK unless their called something different) zorb which seems to expensive but worth it so I don't...
