    Is everyone

I give a variety of dried and fresh forage (dried in winter. Summer they get fresh mostly (plus being on the lawn all day grazing) and still some dried). I give several items in rotation just for variety really

    Truffle and Polo

Stripe has one clear pee today. It's normal to have some chalky, but not every one. Stripe is down to seven pellets so he can relate! Chez won't touch them so he gets forage twice a week and wheatgrass twice a week.

    pets at home forage

I only use Piggie Parcels for my forage. My piggies love it and it gets inhaled.

We get Ready Grass and green oat hay which we enjoy. We had some Rosewood forage, but ran all over it and didn't eat it much. MS is going to see if we like a bit of oatmeal, good idea 👍 It's been 26C here today, so sleeping with the fan on and the cool pods in our pens has been the main agenda...

Master Boris is all grown up!

I love that picture, his mouth is straight instead of curving up. Looks like he's saying he wants another forage basket.

...zoomed in as best I can - it really didn’t zoom very well! From what I can make out, I’d probably not feed it as it isn’t what I look for in a forage - it looks like it contains things like Lucerne (alfalfa) which should be avoided, and sunflower meal. Wheat meal etc. I buy forage from...

Plants which discourage cats but aren't harmful to guinea pigs?

Actually guinea pigs can have lavender in small amounts, it's in the forage I give mine.

We're being good... for now. We have fresh hay, veggies, pellets and forage. So mom's going to stay till we beg for cookies. Do I look fat? Mom thinks this picture makes my head look small.

The pellet reduction is working, there are less calcium pees so the boys got forage. Stripe doesn't want me out of the room. I've spent two hours with them and when I got back from smoking he was wheeking. Gotta leave at 1, hopefully a huge hay pile will help.

    Brownie

...is a rather mindless activity. It is much better to scatter their veg and pellets into a loose pile of hay on the cage floor so they can forage for them. Foraging is a natural ability and keeps their minds occupied. Mental stimulation and foraging is very important for them. Using bowls...

    Is this safe?

There's nothing more satisfying than watching my boys venture into a fresh/topped up/fluffed up pile of hay in search of the best bits or the pellets/forage hidden in there.

    Piggie Parcel Pellets

I have 2 and mine lasts about 3 months. I'm rather mean with the pellets and top up with forage. They have an offer for 2 bags being a little cheaper.

    Our piggies

Very impressed with Loki’s problem solving tonight, he wedged his little forage cube to stop it moving around. He did get cross though as he then couldn’t get in the hay cube!

I also use piggies parcels and for their pellets too. I have bought forage from P@H but I'm pretty sure it was rosewood naturals herb or flower mix.

    Spending time with piggies

...assuming that as they’ll they have each other ……thats the important thing You can add lots of things to enrich their day …like sprinkling forage in with their hay, apple sticks or safe toys to chew on, paper bags filled with hay and forage etc You sound like a devoted slave and …remember...

Piggie Parcels Urinary & Joint Pellets : How Much to Feed?

...pellets on a Wednesday and the same on a Sunday and that’s it! So they probably only get a tablespoon a week! Mine get some dried forage on the other days. In summer they get fresh forage and all day on the grass, along with some veg. Sometimes in summer I forget to give them pellets at all!
