    Two spoilt pigs 😊

It definitely was. I had to barter some forage for it! 🤣

    Inactive pigs

My pigs are very food-motivated, we spread food around so they have to forage for it. They really seems to enjoy getting out of the cage and searching for the food, but you could scatter within the cages too to give them more incentive to wander around and eat.

...same thing. I also tried some dried birch leaves and then some dried hazel leaves and then same result as what happened with the above fresh forage. In terms of dried forage she can now only seem to tolerate Rosewood Naturals Fields of Gold dried forage as I’ve given that to them 1/2Tbsp...

    Bonding help please

...a friend). If storing toilet roll middles takes up too much space then don’t use them. Just put the hay in piles in the cage - they can forage and play in and amongst the hay more easily that way (or put the hay in trays). Scatter their veg and pellets into the hay piles so they have to...

    Nugget Comparison Chart

We have a wild forage guide but nothing on the commercially available dry forage and supplementary treats, which have really taken off in recent years so a bit of a helping hand to navigate that minefield for the unwary would be really welcome. If it helps, you could perhaps grade things as...

...a vet exam Wednesday and a nail trim. Stripe gets scared on his own but he'll be staying home. He just had an exam. The boys just had some forage. I have to get to the grocery store and sweep and vacuum today. Barrett is doing well. I don't know why Chez lets me pet him when he's under...

    Stripe and Chesney

Chez brought his willow ball into his house and is whipping it around against the walls and it's loud. Stripe is totally ignoring his forage and I just ordered a new bag for ten bucks. Oh good, he just started eating it. My boys actually like commercial toys.

It seems like reducing pellets has helped him gain then I read they eat more hay if you reduce pellets. Still having calcium pee but it seems less concentrated if that makes sense. Forage tomorrow.

    Natural diet

They need large amounts of hay and grass at all times. Hay is the main part that they can never run out of. The wild forage and any veg you give is supplementary and makes around 10% of the diet. Pellets are the only part of the diet that they can do without. They should only have one...

We're home! I'm munching hay and forage. Chez zoomed. I did a popcorn. When I was in boarding they said I just walked right up to the syringe for my metacam, they didn't even take me out of the cage. We're acting like nothing happened. Barrett the cat though... he's upset. Mom's gotta go get...

    Rose plant

Rose petals are very sweet. They can eat as a treat, and they are often in dried forage mixes. Like with any food, some piggies like rose petals, others don't. For fresh petals, you can't give those bought from shops as they will contain pesticides and other things not fit for human or piggie...
