Appointments for probable static lice today

...If the parasites are species specific, wouldn't there need to be guinea pigs at the hay farm in order for that to be possible? Anyway, can't hurt to keep them much cleaner now. I have a supply of "Uhaul" style blankets on order to replace my old towels and want to get some new fleece prints...

    Fleece liner question

...personal preference. It's a good idea to make a few pee pads with a small piece of each inner and see what works for you. A lot of people here from the US use Uhaul blankets, they are cheap but they are not available in the UK. Flannel is a thickish material, but not thick enough for cage liners.

Need tips for washing second-hand liners

Basically the title. I am about to pick up 17 Guineadad potty pads from someone. I got a Guineadad liner and some homemade fleece w/ uhaul pads yesterday from someone else. I washed the fleece liners yesterday but they still smell like the other person's home or the detergent they used. Not bad...

If I were to make liners I would need fleece, absorbent layer (uhaul pad), and stuff to sew with, right? And recommendations for a place to get fleece?

Has anyone made homemade fleece bedding?

Hello fellow cunuck! I have, you use two layers of fleece with a layer of uhaul blankets in the middle as an absorbent layer. If you want you can lay down pee pads under the fleece. (if you clean the fleeces often you rarely need to actually change all the pee pads. usually just the one where...

    Handmade fleece liners

...to use. Totals to 3 yards. I think it's a fair price because I can pick it up in store and I don't have to pay for shipping. I can purchase the uhaul pads from my local uhaul location. 8 dollars isn't bad for the pads because it will make me 2 full liners plus some! Robot or human? Robot or...

    Washing Fleece Options

Thank you for your response! My cage is two Midwest cages put together so I believe it is around 8ft x 2ft. I use blizzard fleece with a Uhaul pad underneath it. They layers are not sewn together (as I am not much of a sewer) so I can wash the layers separately if needed.

    Guinea Pig Cage Recommendations?

Regarding bedding. Jo Anns for anti pull fleece I cut to match the cages sizes and I go to the UHaul store for furniture pads and I cut those too to fit. I layer in a peepad in the corners, cut those too. It all works. I tried to put a video of us and the cage liners system but it says too...

    Handmade fleece liners

If you can't buy Uhaul pads, I buy mine off of Amazon or Walmart. I buy the non-quilted ones and use that as the absorbent layer. Here is one that I have used. Robot or human? I make sure I wash it once on its own on hot water and then dry it in the dryer. If you wash it more than once...

    Not wicking

...some fleece in the past that simply wouldn’t wick, no matter what I tried. I think it was a particular type of fleece. I’m not familiar with Uhaul, I am afraid. I don’t use liners. I just use fleece (with bath mats on top in high traffic areas) and puppy pads underneath. It works well...

    What Bedding do you use?

I use fleece with an absorbent layer (Uhaul furniture pads) in the main areas of their cage and then two different disposable paper beddings with a layer of hay on top in their kitchen/litter areas. I agree with suggestions above. You need to spot clean (remove poos and wet spots) regularly (at...

    Making fleece liners

...cos they are currently on shavings and for health benefits I wish to put them in fleece as it would be better for them. But I’m not too sure what to put as the absorbent layer and I can’t use Uhaul as I'm in England and zorb is just too expensive for me. Any help would be much appreciated. ❤️

    Guinea Pig Cage

Hi, are you using an absorbent layer underneath the blankets? When using fleece or blankets you should use an absorbent layer like towel, zorb, uhaul pads or something similar to soak up the wee as the fleece is there to keep the guinea pig feet dry not to absorb the wee. I use pee pads for the...
