    Joint / mobility supplements

Hi For the UK, we recommend Johnson's 4joints liquid for dogs or extra strength liquid for dogs for more advanced cases. Quite a number of us have been supporting their own oldies and - like in my own experiences - have found that it really improves mobility and quality of life. It is available...

    Kidney Cyst

Oxbow joint is less strong, so 4joints would be your next upgrade, seeing that he is on very strong painkillers.

Please Help - Urinary Blood and Clots

Hi HUGS I am so very sorry. This does sound very worrying indeed and needs an urgent vet examination. Please try to get her seen as soon as possible as an emergency; one possibility could be that the stone has moved and could be blocking the urethra. There are however other possible causes...

    Sterile Cystitis Questions

...and she was recommended to take cystease x1 a day, where it be syringed mixed with water or sprinkled on food. Also, I use the oxbow joint support as well as it has a higher amount of glucosamine then the bladder support and it has turmeric which is anti inflammatory (1 to 2 tablets per day)...

    Kidney Cyst

Thanks, the vet did recommend Oxbow Joint Support which contains glucosamine. I am giving little Alvin one cookie per day. It will be interesting to see if his weight loss stabilises with pain relief, or if the kidney disease is causing it.

    Completely different diets

...arthritis and bladder inflammation. He has a hay and lettuce diet basically. His snacks are cucumber and grass. He also has an Oxbow joint support tab each day. This diet alongside metacam has kept him more than comfortable thankfully. How do we feed them both together? Unfortunately she...

    Supplement for arthritis and bladder

Oxbow joint support is pretty low dosed anyway.

    Supplement for arthritis and bladder

The vet said she doesn’t recommend the 4 joints  I ordered the Oxbow joint support which came today but Perry was very offended by them so I’ll keep offering but I don’t think he’ll try them. Lola did of course!

    Supplement for arthritis and bladder

If Perry won’t eat the Oxbow joint support, can Lola have them? She’s 4 years old but doesn’t have any joint issues. I guess they won’t do her any harm? She really likes them because she’s a foodie and will eat anything :))

    Bladder Sludge support

Hello everyone! I’ve been reading posts on here for years but finally decided after so much trial and error to ask for help. I want to add that I am in the US so that may impact some things. I’ve been a guinea pig mom for many years. My one boy just passed last Friday from a second bladder...

    Sterile Cystitis Questions

Thank you 🤗 that’s reassuring. I’m in the process of switching to the piggy parcels joint support pellets (low calcium and high glucosamine, yay!). The vet doesn’t want me to use cystease. We’ve been feeding the low calcium diet recommended in the forum guides since Nala (then aged nearly 5)...

Perry toilet squeaking, blood in urine

I can’t remember but we’re at the vets soon for a check up so I’ll find out. Perry is still on higher metacam. The Oxbow joint support has made a big difference to his movement and I would guess that the glucosamine in them also help his bladder too. He still does the odd squeak here and there...

    Supplement for arthritis and bladder

That's surprising if it was one of the vets at Ashleigh as they have always been ok with me giving 4Joints to my piggies.

Oxbow Urinary support tablets stock issues.

I wonder if there is a transatlantic supply issue - both of Oxbow's Urinary Support and Joint Support tablets are out of stock at VetUK, the supplier I used to use. An alternative would be to use Feliway Cystease capsules, the main ingredient of both is glucosamine which eases urinary pain by...

Oxbow Urinary support tablets stock issues.

There seems to be a supply issue with Oxbow but there are thankfully alternative options. But you have to look around for them. Try cat bladder supplements or human glucosamine joint care tablets - you have to work out the correct dosage though. ;)

    Guinea Pig With Arthritis

Hello all, my guinea pig, Ferrero Rocher is nearing 8 years of age and has shown signs of back leg stiffness since last year around September. He's always been around 850g to 900g his whole life, which seems underweight, but I think its due to him being very active, where he often spends...

    Heart & dental issues

Penelope has had dental issues for the last few years. They usually start up once/twice a year and then she’ll be good for a while. The beginning of this year, she had fluid in her abdomen and the vet heard a tiny heart murmur and a slightly enlarged heart. Since then, she’s on Vetmedin twice...

    4 joints liquid

Google for 'liquid joint care for dogs' and if needed for the ingredients list of each product. I am sure that you have got comparable brands. Glucosamine support products are usuall widely available in pet shops and online as they are classed as supplements and not as a medication. The liquid...

    UTI Care and Advice

Hello, I am a new user here. However I have been lurking for Guinea pig advice for years. I have 3 Guinea pigs Peanut (female; 3 years), Pumpkin ( 3 years; male neutered) and Pip (2 years). Peanut has had issues with her bladder for a month now starting the beginning of December 2024. I...
