You don’t let them sniff, you have to bond them properly.
You have to take tango out of her hutch and put her in a neutral territory bonding pen in your house - the ‘pen’ can be the bath tub, a bathroom floor, any kind of indoor place space you may be able to make which is safe with no gaps...
I've just googled as their website is currently down but there is an archived page saying they do boarding bonding so if that was done and all went well would they be ok to come home into the cleaned out hutch together?

An ice pack is not going to help keep her cool if the hutch is too hot inside. Besides, an ice pack will thaw out and go warm very quickly outside .
An ice pack is only useful to offer if she has been brought into the house and the room is...
Perhaps it would be worth putting a big cushion or two on the floor as an extra safety precaution. But the best thing is to avoid a fall. It is a tricky question.
