Don’t be sorry for questions, we are here to help.
There is no need to add anything to the critical care/emeraid syringe feed - it is nutritionally complete and designed to replace the hay fibre intake while a piggy is unwell and not eating hay independently.
Veg will never replace fibre intake...
...to fresh grass. Delivery is always reasonably fast as well. If you make sure the trays get light so it doesn't go yellow you can generally get about 3 cuts and regrowths out of the trays, but they also sell bags of precut grass...
BIG HUGS
I am so very sorry that you are dealing with a whole string of losses and stresses where each new turn wakes up the whole not really digested mess and makes it churn around again. It is so hard to find peace when you never get the time space and time to finish one job before the next...
I grow my own wheatgrass (cat grass) for the piggies. I just used bog standard compost and it grows really quickly, I think we had our first little 'harvest' after about 3 weeks. The piggies absolutely love it. I bought the seeds on Amazon.
so we have managed to grow a lovely tray of wheatgrass and timothy grass however della is currently suffering with bladder sludge and so wondering if its even worth feeding? i’m so anxious i’m doing things wrong and it would kill me to know i’ve made her worse.. but i’m also concerned about...
Thank you. I don't have a garden and while I see dandelion elsewhere I don't know if it's been treated. My sister may have some. Maybe I should get grass seed to grow grass. They used to have wheatgrass as a treat but I think maybe it needs to be normal grass.
Since winter coming next couple of months I was thinking of growing my own grass indoors for my guinea to eat. Are Wheatgrass Seeds grass ok? Or type grass i grow matter.

In terms of other enrichment, we bought some wheatgrass from a supplier Eritheren recommended and she LOVES it! She ran down the 8x2 C&C cage to get to it! But we are only giving her small amounts as...

These are fine to grow and offer in small amounts to your piggies.
Do be careful not to over do it though if they are not used to eating grass already.
All of my piggies loved the occasional handful of wheat grass.
...trip to the vet? I am worried sick and don’t know how this is happening right after his original problem. I’ve separated him from his brother. Is this a respiratory infection or what else can cause a raspy or wheatgrass voice and could it be related to the original health issues he’s been having?
...nice stuff left, I've got a small production line of seed trays growing wheat grass in various stages, plus I've ordered some ready grown wheatgrass to help transition her from the tougher winter grass to the soft fresh growth. Although I'll probably keep giving her both if I can find some...
Please don’t separate him from his cage mate. There is no benefit in doing so. You won’t prevent a cage mate from catching anything that may be contagious because they have already been in contact with each other. Plus separating is very stressful for them and stress can lower the immune...
