Hello everyone. If you have ideas for what to make the waterproof layer of a diy c&c cage, please share.
I have been using a shower curtain (lol) for my two piggies for almost as long as I’ve had them. It has just gradually gotten more tattered, and they like to chew the new ones I buy, way too...
I put them next to each other in separate C & C cages. There has been a lot of rumbling, biting at the cage, trying to squeeze their heads through. When should I be concerned, or is this something they need to work out?
Hey everyone! Planning a major c & c revamp since I have 2 new arrivals.
I have ordered new cage liners and I'm looking at what else to add.
Has anyone used the Happy Henry homes hammock stands and have any feedback please?
I have a somewhat wonky 2 x 5 c and c cage for my sows, Shimmer (golden agouti) and Shetti (mostly white with some black and ginger, sheltie).
I have recently bought a cage mate to stop all the bits escaping from the grids and a hay mate to make a nice big hay pile area away from the fleece end.
If you can, have your cages on tables or stands, it's so much easier for cleaning. C&C grid stands are good as you can have storage underneath. A chair for you to sit with the piggies to me is essential! Storage for spare fleece, hay etc. No scented candles or air fresheners.
You could try lining it with Corex, cut/fold it with the box corners like C&C cages the upstand edge would help stop him from falling out as long as he didn't jump over it in his excitement.
I have c & c type grids and I hang their hammocks from them but I do place them so that the bottoms are only just hovering above the ground if that makes sense
We will have 39°C today, up to 40°C tomorrow and 39°C on Monday. 🥵
I hope the piggies will get through these days allright. Last night it was 27°C indoors but with minimum temperatures above 20°C the flat will get even warmer.
I'm very much looking forward to next Thursday when the worst of...
...to do whats best for him (although, even i struggle with my living space size ☹️😅)
when i say 2x4- it is 2 grids by 4- its this plastic sort of c&c gridding off amazon, I'm not sure if average c&c grids are bigger or not?
I'm not sure i would want to get him neutered, but i am trying to...
Welcome to the forum
If there is definitely no lice or mites (Lice of course are the only type of parasite which is visible to the human eye. Mites being invisible); and fungal is ruled out (I note she is on a treatment), then yes some piggies (regardless of hair length) can have dry skin and...
Amazing, thank you! I'll look through the guides carefully.
Unfortunately, I've now had to (hopefully temporarily) seperate them with a c&c divider as they got in a proper bundle-o-fur fight just now - no blood drawn. Looks like ermin is being bullied and challenged for her top spot 😥 they...
Hello all,
I will be gaining a third piglet soon, and I want to be able to have cameras on them to monitor during the first few months to make sure that there are no falling outs after they have been bonded and put together. I also just want to be able to open my phone to see my piglets.
What...
Hi everyone. Happy friday!
One of my guinea pigs has just finished his course of antibiotics yesterday due to bronchitis. During that time I have given my 2 guinea pigs half tablet each (12.5mg each of vitamin c) of oxbow vitamin c tablet just to boost their immune system a little bit whist one...
...are! Maple is the Ginger one and weighs 375g.
Waffle is the brown and cream abby and is smaller at 303g! She can fit through the squares on the c&c so had to make some urgent modifications last night!
Thank you @Wiebke your guides were really useful. I had a good read up and refresh before...
Tunnels scattered around for them to play in / on
C&C cages are great because you can make them as big as you have room for and whatever shape works best.
I’m not sure if guinea pigs really care about colour so go for something you like
It sounds as if you have 2 very lucky piggies.
We will...
