    Cage fresh granules

I know this may be a daft question but will it harm piggies if they eat the cage fresh granules obviously the granules are under the hay and my piggies eat the hay in their cage aswell so some they eat might have the granules attatched?

How sensitive are guinea pig respiratory systems?

This is a great post for me as well. Penny on antibiotics for 5 days now due to Upper Respiratory Infection and she is still sneezing. She has several days of medicine left to take but I was questioning myself if she isn't allergic to something in her cage (in addition to the infection/maybe...

    Cage fresh granules

We have used cage fresh granules before for my elderly piggy as he really does smell haha (we love him though). Personally, I would put them under the newspaper/puppy pads or whatever else you line your cage with so that the guineas can't eat them. With my pig it's a thin layer of newspaper...

    Cage Fresh Granules- Thoughts Please

...had a lot of grass and also seem to be going through a bit of an hierarchy reshuffle so I'm blaming that. What's the thoughts on cage fresh granules? I only heard about them this morning when I was looking at threads about smelly boars and wondered if they are ok to use or if they upset the...

How sensitive are guinea pig respiratory systems?

Cedar is are a member of the resinous pine family. It is not something I would consider using with guinea pigs. Personally, I have been using fleece for 10 years now in combination with hay trays. As long as you poo patrol daily and change the bedding twice weekly, there is not a smell problem...

    Cage Fresh Granules- Thoughts Please

I used to use the cage fresh granules and I found it useless. Didn't make a difference whatsoever and it was quite expensive for what is was. I'd just stick to good quality bedding or fleece.

Can Anyone Help Me With Bedding Ideas?

...And don't use fabric softener as it reduces absorbance (that's why bath towels get worse as time goes on). I also sprinkle Cage Fresh granules under the fleece (not where the pigs are on them) which helps neutralise the odor when per soaks through. I clear the pigs out every 3 days. I clear...

Can Anyone Help Me With Bedding Ideas?

Yeah I've been using fleece for a couple of years now with no problems bar the hay areas. My liners are well washed and I never use fabric softener on any of the pigs stuff. I use liners so not sure sprinkling anything under them would really help? I put extra pee pads under the hay so I could...

    Cuttung Down The Smell!

I used to use Beaphar cage fresh granules to mix in with wood pellets in my hay trays, they help to absorb urine and make the cage smell nice, I've since switched to puppy pads though and rarely get any smells anymore.

...them on hemp and hay to begin with and see how that goes. They will be in their own room and OH is out at work all day Mon-Fri so I can leave the doors open then. With litter training - would most pigs use a tray if there was one there? Will definitely try the cage fresh granules too.

The Other Half Has Finally Given In! Tips For Indoor Piggie Keeping Please?

It's hard to litter train them but I think because mine used to be on shavings, so when I changed to fleece I put shavings in the litter tray they were kind of used to going on shavings. As I said though they did used to wee on the fleece quite a bit but now they rarely do. It helps having it...

Beaphar Cage Fresh Granules - Product Review

Hello everyone, So I found these cage fresh granules and no one here really had much experience of them and reviews online were pretty vague so I thought I would try them. They are a powdery texture like sand and they have a strong smell like very strong baby powder products. Obvious...
