I took 2 newborn buns in last night (couldnt access the forum to post last night tho?).
Mum had died shorly after birth so these little ones have come to me.
They are a good colour, alert (active), feeding well and toileting (when stimulated).

(some photos from last night).

any chance of you posting a picture every week so we can see how they grow?

Yes i will take photos as they grow :).
Just took there weights brown one is 51.5g white one 48.9g going to double check if thats the correct weight for them.

Awwww poor babies with no mummy bunny. Thankfully they've got you though! Good luck and fingers crossed all goes well for them. Will you keep them or rehome when old enough?

I dont have anymore space for large hutches so i wont beable to keep them :0 (i will be very attached to these little ones so it will be hard). They would need to go to an extra special home (who will give them probiotics and controlled feeding) but we will cross that bridge when (hopefully) we come to it.

Wow you will have your work cut out with those two.

I have never seen rabbits so small.

Fingers crossed for you. x

Oh that takes me back... I handreared Splat (who crossed the Bridge in August at 6 years old) from about 3 days old after her mum kicked her out of the nest... I remember her being pink with just the teeniest little hairs. Took about 8 weeks on the bottle and another 4 of pellet mush feeding to get her to the point where she was declared a fit (but extremely small for her age) little wabbit... She ended up the biggest of the litter!

These two are beautiful! Fingers and paws crossed that they grow up to be healthy, beautiful little stunners. x)

Out of interest how many times a day and how much did you feed?
I'm feeding 4 times .5ml each feed.

aww bless them, I can't believe how tiny they are, I've never seen anything like it its amazing! So sorry to hear about their mum but I really hope they grow up healthy and strong

Sorry to hear about their mom, hope all goes well for these buns.

Aw bless. So sorry to hear about mummy wabbit :( (RIP x ) very best of luck with the little sweethearts. Fingers crossed x

She was a very sickly baby who spent the first 3 weeks hardly eating anything... she was fed at least 6 times a day and we fed whatever she would take (getting her to take even .2ml when we started out was very very difficult). It wasn't until just before the photo below was taken that she developed the 'turbo suck' where she could latch on and drain a bottle. Literally the feed before that happened she took only a couple of ml. It was like a switch was turned on and she wanted everything and then some! Amazing moment...

It was a battle with Splat... Here she is with her brothers and sister - can see just how small and sickly looking she was (although she was the first to learn to hop around and could run rings around her siblings!)

AW bless (well done you).
These 2 are taking all of what i give them then looking for more (dont want to offer too much tho). I think i'll see how they are the next feed and offer a little more if they will take it.

I think I would be scared to even touch them! We had baby rabbits a few years back but we never even saw them till they were about 1 and a half weeks old.
Hope it goes well :)

O.M.G. That's gonna be such a wrench for you. Good luck with the little ones xxxxx

Things went downhill last night :( the brown one died at 1am :'( the same thing as before went cold gasping etc.
This morning i was left with just the white one, brought it downstairs filled its water bottle went to warm its milk, came back to feed it and it had gone :( (No idea why as this one had been healthy).
RIP little buns, Run over rainbow bridge to find your mum :'(.
