I thought folks would like to see my new piggies.

As some of you will have read in my recent thread as I was waiting for my homecheck, they are partially sighted. http://www.theguineapigforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=46748

I think the cream and white one is totally blind (she has pink eyes but you can see opaque right through them) but the other has partial sight in one eye. They are both very slim compared to my other piggies - weighing in at 834g and 862g.

We haven't definitely decided on names yet rolleyes ... but nearly!

Well, here they are ....

they look great!

blind, may be - but certainly "looking" at the leaf
!

:p:p

Oh they're lovely! What are their "nearly" names? Maybe we can help you make up your mind? :)

AWW - they are a gorgeous pair!

Thankfully, piggies can still lead a happy life even if they are blind! I'm sure that they will bulk up under your good care!

I think you should call them coffee and cream! :)
First things that popped into mind when i saw them.

Both beautiful!

They are beautiful!

I have a dark eyed golden that I rehomed from a rescue a few months back. She is still soooo skittish and I wondered only today if she too is partially sighted. I put them on the grass and she kept running into the back of the run. She's run into the sides of the cage a few times, but I always put it down to her nervousness. However her having a sight issue could explain her skittish behaviour

what gorgeous piggles!

Thanks everyone.

They are really placid and easy to pick up. Obviously I talk to them first so not to startle them but they are calm.

Yes, name suggestions would be great please!

My new little girls names have finally been decided. Based on my extra holiday trapped in Tenerife because of the volcanic ash ... 7 nights turned into 12 nights ... it has been decided as Tia and Maria.

Not to say that I drank alot of Tia Maria when away but I did have a few! :))

I weighed Tia and Maria this evening and both have put on weight. Tia is now 884g (the darker one) and Maria is 896g. I was very pleased!

They have both settled in well and beginning to respond to our voices. They are both so sweet! x>>

They are gorgeous and sounds like they have settled in well and nicely gaining weight :)) One of mine is blind and she gets around canny, no impedment to her at all.

One word... BEAUTIFUL

And Tia Maria (yum yum!) - great names. x
