I am relatively new to pigs, although I've had my older girl for about 8 months.

Recently I got a new young pig, a Peruvian from a recognized breeder (confirmed female), her name is Luna. Nina, my older pig is definitely female as its also been confirmed by a vet/pet shop owner/myself viewing pictures.

Anyways, Luna and Nina hit it off immediately, a bit of dominance from Nina but it rolled right of Luna's back and she just cuddled up to Nina xx>>>. You'd think they've been together since birth...except one small thing. Nina keeps doing the rumble strut/mating dance randomly, and wagging her bum at Luna. She was recently in heat I believe, but I read its only a day or two and this has been going on over a week now. Luna doesn't really mind it, she just sniffs her and then they both run around popcorning and wheeking a bit.

Anyone have any idea whats going on, and should I be worried?

I have known sows do this to each other. It could be that they are fertile, perhaps both at the same time, but I don't know.

If you are sure that they are both sows and there is no actual fighting, then I would hope it will all blow over.

There's no fighting, if anything they get happy and popcorn and cuddle...maybe dominance but it doesn't seem to be an issue. Should I just ignore it then?
