I was clearing out today and found my old guinea pig scrap book from around 25 years ago. I'm sorry to say I did some breeding back then. I don't think people were as enlightened about rescuing, or maybe it was just me- I was young. Not that that is any excuse, but anyway they were all very well loved and looked after and the ones I kept mostly lived 5+ years. The oldest was 7. I had huge big hutches which my long suffering dad made for me.

I have taken some photos of the photos which aren't brilliant. The originals aren't that good, mainly out of focus and with bits chopped off, but I've added some of the better ones.

I hope you enjoy seeing them. I feel a tinge of sadness as I wish I could cuddle them all again. x)

Gang of girlies. The black one with her back to the camera and an arrow pointing to her was Pepsi, the first girl I had.

Cream. My oldest girlie was 7 when she died.

Thank you :)

I think the only things that have changed are our increase in knowledge. I mean, I concern myself so much with making sure Hamish & Dougal get a balanced diet- not too much calcium, vitamin A etc and pellets to prevent selective feeding and back then they had a museli feed and the same old cabbage/ spring greens & carrots every day plus hay of course. I never imagined there were so many different veg they could eat. Ohh, I remember them loving dandelion leaves.

Awwww these are just lovely, what a lovely find :) x) its nice to look back and remember those pets who have passed :) x

Thank you for sharing your memories of your piggies with us.
