My 2 piggies are in their run in the garden and I've put my 2 foster piggies in another run close by each other. Is this okay? shouldn't make them fight thier partners should it ?
The noise is really loud they are really interested in ecah other, they are on their 2 back paws trying to get a closer look.

Sometimes it can cause a bit of a rumpus for a while but it settles down ;D
It is fun to watch them and hear all their funny noises ;)

Thanks for the reply :) I panicked at first I really thought they could of turned on each other.
Its all settled down now though :) .

I have 4 boars living side by side, in 2 pairs and they are fine, never any problems.

When I put my Boars they go next too each other in their runs and they couldnt care less too busy munching :)

I have 4 boars living together next to 5 sows, they have there occasional squabble, but never anything to serious, its normally when a lady is next to there mesh.
Radley is the boss, hes around 2, then the brothers Aurelio and LJ who are 1 and the baby of the bunch Laban who is nearly 4mths.
Getting boars to bond really depends on their personality, I have two fellas who have to live on their own due to high testorne kicking around.

I adopted a pair of 'bonded' boars - Tom and Jez. I was told that they were brothers who had lived together all their lives - they were then aged about 2 1/2. I put their cage next to Sam and Roo's.
Within days Tom was rumblestrutting at Jez, things went from bad to worse until a real fight broke out and I had to separate them. I was told that the breakdown in their relationship was caused by putting them next to another pair of boars. :-\ Yet they'd previously spent several months in a rescue with other piggies all around.

Having Tom and Jez next to them did not cause any problems between Sam and Roo, but they have a really good friendship.

So I guess being next to another pair of boars can cause problems - I believe Boureki/Marty also had this experience - but in many cases they get on perfrectly ok. I imagine it depends how good their relationship is in the first place - ?

FWIW I now put all four side by side when they go outdoors but in separate areas indoors (don't have enough space for three cages all together!) They always seem very pleased to meet each other through the bars when they go out.

My big boys live side by side but have play time together - there is a bit of niggling but it generally calms down and they go off exploring or doing laps together.

I will soon be introducing young Scruffy to our adopted piggy Roly - will post how it goes!
