800 x 400 x 350mm piggie hutch advice pls

My two foster piggies have been offered a home with a very nice lady :) problem is their home is going to be
800 x 400 x 350mm i can't work out what that is in feet .. Its a temp home but its to small isn't it ?
They have plenty of room at the moment soit wouldn't be fair on them to put them in such a small home :(
 
It is small about 32 inches...
Can't you wait for her to get a better home?

Yes I've just emailed her and told her I'd be happy to keep them here until something a lot bigger is sorted out.
Hope she can sort something out she seemed a nice lady.
 
It's a shame when you know it is going to be a good home.
I must admit I have a single boar at the moment in a 3ft 6 which I think is too small but he does have a lot of out time and it is temporary, Good Luck
 
A 3ft 6 cage is more than enough for 1 piggy. I have always gone on the recommended advice of 2ft x 2ft which is 4 square foot and that is per piggy.

I thought minimum was 4ft by 2 ft for some reason,

My other boar is in heaven then with a 5 by 2
 
Yeah I would say he is Tracy. 2ft x 2ft is quite adequate for one piggy.
 
The lady wanted 1 piggies ideally and asked would I seperate my boys.. I told her that I wouldn't seperate them they are great friends..
 
I'll point out he is a very privileged Piggie in the morning LOL

4ft x 2ft is the minimum recommended size for a pair of piggies O0
 
The woman isn't having them she wasn't happy with me at all for saying she'd need a bigger hutch/cage..
Oh and she said the c&c grids we make up are so unsuitable for piggies and she would only put her tools in them! She finished off by saying we will not be speaking again! She was fuming you could tell. I don't know why she took it so to heart I was so nie and said I'd keep hold of them until she could get something bigger..
 
Maybe she wasnt the right person then Karen. If she thought she didnt need a bigger cage then she hasnt done her homework on what the guinea pig need.

Dont worry about it, the right home will come along.
 
She didn't deserve them. She probably had no intention of buying a larger cage.
It just means that get to stay with you a little longer being spoilt until they find the right owner. :)
 
Ahhh thats sad but she missed out on the fabulous time she would of had ::)
