Hannah was doing so well after her operation, but last night she started to look a little unwell. She wasn't eating very much either. By this morning she was just standing in the corner of her cage. No interest in food whatsoever!

We went to see Simon this evening and he checked her over and found that she had developed a Seroma (a pocket of serum underneath the skin) from where her lump had been removed. He drained about 5 mls of fluid from it! He was worried it might be a abscess but it isn't thank goodness! Hopefully now she will start to feel better again.

I'd really thought I could stop worrying but not so!

Oh dear, I'm really sorry to hear about little Hannah. I hope that she's over this setback very fast and will be feeling better soon. Has she eaten much since she came home from the vets?

Sending her (and you) our very best wishes.

She's eaten a little, and i'm also syringe feeding her. Simon made up some Critical Care and syringe fed her straight after he had drawn off the fluid. She took it really well. Hopefully by morning she will be feeling much better.

We have all digits crossed for her, and hope to hear good news in the morning.

I took Hannah's cage upstairs last night and put her at the side of my bed. I woke a few times and she was just sitting quietly, although not facing into the corner. I hate it when they do that! This morning she was following Demon around and seemed much more alert. I gave her some cucumber and she ate that and she has also munched her way through a little grass. A definite improvement on yesterday!

Just off to syringe feed her a little now as we need to build her back up again.

awwwwwww Hannah loads of piggie kisses from your friend Duke and from me i send very gentle strokes and kisses on your pretty ears and nose xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>
Debbie i'm so sorry this has happened, the little trooper was doing so well wasn't she... but now she's seen Simon and had it confirmed no dam abscess we'll cross our paws that she rallies and goes back to being her sweet self again...after all her mate Demon needs her xx>>>xx>>>

Debbie, I'm sorry that Hannah has had this set back. Fingers crossed she is fighting fit soon xx

My Clover had a very similar thing when she was spayed earlier in the year. As soon as the vet cleared the wound she picked up well. I hope the same is true of Hannah - get well soon little piglet!

Get Well Soon Beautiful Hannah, we're all thinking of you and wishing you and your family well. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks everyone! I've just syringed her some more Critical Care and have now chopped up some cucumber and she is eating some of that. She definitely seems better than she did yesterday.

I feel like i'm running a small animal hospital here at the moment. I also have Schmichael poorly, with yet another ear infection and Poppet is still being syringe fed too. She's making sure she doesn't get forgotten though. She now shouts really loudly for her syringe feeds and rattles the bars! If you don't go straight away the volume gets louder and louder! I was upstairs feeding Hannah this morning and all I could hear was Poppet getting louder by the minute!

oh i am sorry to hear about Hannah. I hope she is on the mend and the Critical Care helps her.

lol, she sounds like a sweetheart!

Don't worry :)

Well thank goodness it's all seen to though! The wee dote will be doing great soon enough

Isn't it stressful when they are all ill! At least they are having the best home care though - hope it all calms dopwn soon for you x

Hopefully just a very small step back for her before she moves a big step forward ... bless her!

Hope Hannah is feeling better soon xx

Sorry Debbie and Hannah, I seem to have missed this thread!

You know I am sending you both lots of love xx

Aww bless her! I'm sure with her little fiesty personality she'll be soon back up on her feet.

Get well soon gorgeous girl xxxxx
