well, I had to go and get supplies this morning from the local Somerfield as my usual Sainsbury's delivery got cancelled last night and some of you may know that my fridge looks decidedly bare.... So, off I went, the half mile or so down to the village, trying to stay on my feet and eventually arrived to the shop, not before seeing an artistically parked car whose bonnet was hugging a lampost...:))

so, anyaway, I went about my business in the shop and got some lettuce, some carrots, some green beans, some milk and bread and a few other things possibly. The queue for the till was gigantic, but I finally got there. The man was really nice putting things in my bag.

Then, out of the blue he asked me whether I was about to make a snowman. I thought to myself, what a nosey man! what's it to him if I am? and what on earth was it about me that gave him that silly idea? and just said NO, I wasn't. :(

He then explained that because I was only buying ONE carrot, he assumed it was for the snowman... I had to admit that it was actually the only carrot in the shop but it was for my Guinea pigs, which caused us to laugh... :)) :))

I just thought I'd share this with you...

Thank you very much for sharing!

Oh dear, I hope the person who decided to hug a lamp post with a pile of metal wasn't hurt too badly.

That story is quite amusing, thank you for sharing! :(|) I find it quite refreshing in this day and age, when someone you don't know brings a little smile into your day.

re the lampost crash... it looked quite bad cos te road was actually clear and gritted yet this car had obviously skidded along and come to a halt into the lampost. No hazzards also suggested it had happened some time ago. :(

You have such a way with words Audrey, you always make me laugh. Love the carrot story. :))
