here are some pics of the lovely old man Elvis, who hasnt had much luck finding a friend so far :( but is still on the lookout..... thinking of going down the route of getting another old single boar as a neighbour if all else fails.
The last one is with his brother, Mr Chompers, who passed a few months ago.

Awwww he's a little cutie! x)
Sorry you lost Mr Chompers. Just a suggestion but have you thought about having Elvis neutered? My boy Teddy lost his cage mate, I had him done and he now lives very happily with my girls. Have you been in touch with your local rescue? Most rescues if you take Elvis along will help him you find a friend by matching up to another piggie that he might get on with.
Hope you can find a good friend for him soon x

Thanks guys, Elvis is now 7 years old..... he looks good for his years I think :)) but I couldnt risk getting him neutered at his age :(
We have been to a lovely rabbit and guinea pig rescue on the wirral for Elvis to meet a couple of single boars..... but he seems to be a fussy chap! He doesnt seem to concerned about not having a friend, but I cant help but feel he is missing out on interaction with his own species. His best friend is our 15 year old chihuahua x yorkie, who he talks to A LOT... but obviously doesnt get much conversation back! This is why i'm thinking maybe another single old boar in a separate hutch next door, and then maybe see if they will share the floor together?

Its certainly worth a try! :)
Another option would be to get a baby boar to live with him. I have heard people suggest it on here and it has proved to be successful x

Getting Elvis a friend or two to live next to will certainly perk him up if all other possibilities fail is a good idea. He looks still great for his age!

Elvis is very handsome. He sounds very contented and what a grand old age he is.
