Hello,
I haven't got any guinea pigs yet, but I am really interested and would like to have two! I am wondering if anyone could help me with these questions?
1. I have a playhouse-type of enclosure, my rabbit used to live there, and a big outdoor run on the outside. Could I open the house door so they can run around outside in their run all day? I would lock them up at night, it is safe and secure, and they would have easy access inside their main little house!
2. What's the main problem guinea pigs have, that a vet would need to treat? And how can I prevent it!?
3. What daily jobs would I need to do? I would be able to clean them out once a day, but what else is there?
Thank you! Also, any advice would be much appreciated! :)

unless the playhouse is insulated will be too cold to put them out yet. You can buy snugglesafes that keep them warm (like a heat pad) but mine are indoors so dont know a lot about them. They would need unlimited hay and a cup full of veggies per piggy per day. I split mine into two and an egg cup full of pellets each a day. There is a thread about veggies they can have and which they can have every day. Mine are housed on fleece and have litter trays. Poops are swept up every day but this wont apply to you as i assume you will be using bedding. My litter trays get changed every day.

Thank you! Its not insulated, but it would be warm in there, I would use a lot of bedding in their hides, and maybe use a snugglesafe too!
Thanks for the info! :)
