MommaPiggy
Adult Guinea Pig
I bought some of this yesterday. It's that green looking hay.
My boys love their normal hay but I've heard that this stuff is really good for them.
I use normal hay in their litter trays and beds and then fill their racks with Timothy Hay.
They adore it. I've never seen them eat so much hay before. They never empty their racks but they did last night. I filled them at midnight and by 9am they were empty.
Now I'm not just impressed by this. I'm impressed by Pets at Home.
I normally go to The Ark (my local pet store) because I can walk to it. Being unable to drive makes it hard for me to get to many other places.
I managed to get my dad to take me to P@H yesterday.
I grabbed the Timothy Hay, but there were no prices for it. I went to the till, thinking it would be about £20 (I'll tell you why in a sec)
Nope. 1KG cost me around £8.
I was stunned. Happily stunned!
The Ark charge me £5 for a 1/4 of that. Which is why I assumed the big bag would cost me around £20.
I have to say I was very impressed with the price. I know they can be a bit pricey on some things but mostly, I find them to be pretty cheap.
Alot cheaper than The Ark, at least.
And I wasn't afraid to tell the sales assistant that I was impressed and would be sure to return to their store and that in that simple transaction, they had made a customer for life.
I'm pleased to say that he was very happy
