A new home for winter!

This beautifully big cage I bought on Monday from PetPlanet was delivered yesterday afternoon! Sadly, there was a little damage but got a call from them this morning about an email of complaint I sent and we had a chat about it, they're going to refund me a bit for the damage so that's all fine!

This is the cage, it's 5ft x 2 1/2ft:

The girls were in it while I modified the platform and ladder:

I was slightly miffed about the platform and ladder because I didn't realise it was wired, very dangerous for piggy paws so I covered it with a towel, which will make it easier to change and wash:

Had to modify it again because Erin and Penny were taking flying leaps off the platform over the little fenced bit so I added a piece of the towel above it as I didn't want broken necks and things!

She's called Penny, but she's cream and white

And thanks they seem very happy with their new home, so glad to get them out of that horrible little 3ft cage! Daisy was popcorning about last night when I fitted the platform in, she rarely popcorns as well so that was amazing to watch!

If the towel on the wires doesnt work out (great idea so I'm sure it will) you could always get a little bit of correx and put it on top too (under the towel) - I had a cage with a wood shelf and did that so the wood didnt get pee soaked and minging

So so jealous (in a good way)! I dislocated my knee a month ago cleaning out my 2 storey 2 x 4 cage - pigs are split into 2 pairs as I fear for their lives if I added the ramp. I would love a bigger cage they could all share, but sadly don't have space for one
