Our new baby guinea pig Penny seems to sneeze a little too often. She doesn't show any other signs of being sick - she's eating fine, her eyes and nose are clear, she runs around and popcorns all over the place and squeaks her head off, but she does seem to sneeze a lot. Should we be worried? Jakey, her boyfriend sneezes every so often and it doesn't seem to do him any harm.

Is burning incense bad for them? We have only done this twice, but we're wondering if it could be related - we had heard her sneeze a fair few times before we had any incense.

If anyone knows if sneezing with no other symptoms is bad can you tell us what to do?

Thanks!

Lucy

Please stop the incense - it is not good for their sensitive lungs.

What is you bedding and what hay are you using and how often do you change? Guinea pigs can have allergies or be very sensitive to things like dust and hay (of which there are at least some products that are less dustier as it constitutes 50-80% of their daily food intake.).
