we said goodbye to a very special little piggy! :'(

Those of you who were on the forum then will remember Badger, the little man with a huge zest for life! :D :D :D

After undergoing four operations, and the removal of six lumps, cancer spread to his lungs and even having the greatest will to live wasn't enough anymore! :'(

Within hours of each of his operations he would be climibing up the bars of his cage wheeking loudly for food! Nothing seemed to bother him. He just loved life! :D :D :D

Schmichael would sit next to his cage for hours on end, and when Badger finally went to the Bridge, Schmichael spent days searching the room for him! :'(

Badger didn't have a long life, but he made the most of every minute he had. We had so hoped he was going to reach his second birthday on 1st April but it wasn't to be! April 1st isn't April Fools Day for us, its BADGER DAY!

Oh he was such a character! Always getting into mischief! ;D He would spend hours running around the lounge, and even now I am still finding things which he chewed! ;D ;D

Just after I had taken the pic of him trying to get at the can of Pepsi Max he knocked it over and started licking it up from the carpet! :D :D :D

Badger was such a love. I remember his bravery (and yours and Ellie's) only too well. A very sad time.

Yes Niki always says her birthday is on Badger Day! :D

I'm sure he's causing mayhem at the Bridge! He always knew how to have a good time! :D :D :D
 
Badger was the piggie that Ellie said shuffled back to take a wee wasn't he? I remember that because our Pepe does that. :smitten:

What a lovely boy, he sounds like such a character too, no wonder you miss him. :smitten:

I will think of April 1st as a special piggy day now! A whole day is wasted on Fools, there's too many of those! Badger Day it is!
 
0:) 0:) 0:) Badger such a sweet little guy who had us all willing him to survive those ops and then to conquer the cancer, but it was not to be :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( I remember you stayed up all night with him the both of you trying so so hard for him :( :( :( :( :(

I remember him, such a gorgeous piggy. Bet he's having lots of fun at the bridge causing lots of trouble ;D ;D

Thanks everyone! :) Not a day goes by without thinking of this special little man. He certainly left his mark, in more ways than one. I was wondering the other day why I had stopped using a table lamp. I went to plug it in and remembered immediately! Good reason for not using it.....Badger had chewed through the cable! ;D
